What data is collected

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the following data is collected and sent by email to the site owner:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • The message you write

This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is sent by email and is not stored in any database, tracked, or used for any purpose beyond replying to you. It is processed through local server infrastructure and relayed via email to Google Gmail, acting as a third-party sub-processor. Other than that, it is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing without your separate, explicit consent.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and/or the necessity to take steps prior to entering into a contract if your enquiry relates to engaging my services (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Article view counts

Articles display a simple view count. This is a single number per article, incremented anonymously on each page load. No IP address, device information, cookie, or any other identifier is stored alongside it — it is not possible to trace a view back to a person or device. As this involves no personal data, it does not require cookie consent.

Anonymous Site Analytics & Engagement Logging

This website runs a local, custom performance logger to monitor page popularity and reading engagement across articles. To uphold absolute privacy, the script operates under strict anonymization principles:

  • No Device Storage: It does not place, read, or write any cookies, tracking pixels, LocalStorage, or persistent identifiers on your terminal equipment.
  • No Personal Tracking: It does not capture, store, or log your IP address, browser fingerprint, or identity characteristics.
  • Ephemeral Session Evaluation: It utilizes an ephemeral, random identifier generated dynamically in-memory to group engagement durations within a single, isolated page view. This token is instantly destroyed the moment you navigate away or close the browser tab, preventing cross-session tracking or return visitor identification.

The processing of this completely anonymized aggregate data is handled locally on our infrastructure solely for our own statistical optimizations, without transmission or enrichment via third-party advertising or profiling networks.

Theme preference

This site remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode using your browser's local storage. This is a technical preference only, stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and does not identify you. As a strictly necessary/functional technology, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.

Our core privacy parameters

  • No cookies or tracker IDs are dropped or stored on your device
  • No commercial, cloud-hosted, or third-party analytics solutions are used
  • No advertising networks or marketing tracking pixels are installed
  • No collected metrics are combined, sold, or shared with third parties

Hosting and data location

This site is hosted on shared hosting infrastructure. Server logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) may be retained briefly by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes, as is standard for any web server, independently of this site's own data practices.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@lasagni.eu.

Data retention

Contact form submissions exist only as an email in the site owner's inbox and are retained within the email inbox only for the duration of the professional inquiry or resulting business relationship, in compliance with GDPR and professional liability requirements.
